Alysa Liu (born August 8, 2005) is an American figure skater and the 2026 Olympic champion in both women's singles and the team event. Born in Clovis and raised in Oakland, California, she trains under coaches Phillip DiGuglielmo and Massimo Scali and represents the St. Moritz Skating Club. She is currently studying psychology at UCLA and is the oldest of five siblings.

Liu first became a sensation at age 13, winning the US national championship and becoming the first female skater to land both a triple Axel and a quadruple jump in one program. After retiring at age 16 following the 2022 Olympics, she made a remarkable comeback in 2024 and won the 2025 World Championship in Boston — the first US women's world title in 19 years. At the 2026 Milan Olympics she completed her story with gold in both the team event and the individual competition, becoming the first US woman to win Olympic gold in women's singles since Sarah Hughes in 2002.

During her two-year hiatus from skating, Liu hiked to the Everest Base Camp at 17,000 feet above sea level.
