Bio

Amber Glenn (born October 28, 1999) is a three-time U.S. champion and one of the most decorated American ladies skaters of her era. A native of Plano, Texas, she trains in Colorado Springs under coaches Damon Allen and Tammy Gambill, with choreography by Kaitlyn Weaver and Katherine Hill, and competes for the Dallas Figure Skating Club.

Glenn's rise to the top of the American field was hard-fought and deeply personal. After years of strong Grand Prix results and national medals, she claimed her first U.S. title in 2024 and never looked back, following it up with back-to-back championships and a Grand Prix Final title in Grenoble in the 2024–25 season — the first American woman to win the GPF in over a decade. Known for her commanding edge quality, explosive jumps, and electric presence on the ice, she has become the defining figure of this generation of American women's skating.

At the 2026 Milan Olympics, Glenn helped lead Team USA to gold in the team event and skated to one of the most memorable performances of the Games in the individual competition. Her consistency, drive, and unwillingness to settle have made her a role model both on and off the ice.

Glenn is the first American woman to win three consecutive US national titles since Michelle Kwan (2003–05), and the first openly LGBTQ+ woman to represent the United States in Olympic singles figure skating. She has been open about her struggles with ADHD, depression, and an eating disorder in her early career, and is a passionate mental health advocate through her mantra "Believe and Breathe." At the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, she won gold in the team event and finished fifth in the individual event. She is the first US woman to land three triple Axels at a single Olympic Games.
