Maxim Naumov (born January 26, 2000) is a two-time U.S. bronze medalist, a 2026 Olympian, and one of the most artistically distinctive male skaters on the international circuit. Known for his elegant carriage, deep edges, and emotionally resonant programs, he has carved out a unique identity in a field dominated by technical maximalism.
The 2025–26 season was Naumov's most challenging — and ultimately most meaningful. After losing both of his parents, he channeled profound personal grief into the ice, skating a season that many observers called the most emotionally powerful of any American man in years. His selection to the 2026 Olympic team was celebrated as a triumph not just of athletic merit but of the human spirit. He competed at the Milan Games with the names of his parents in his heart and the full support of American skating fans behind him.
