The United States took home four medals at the 2025 Finlandia Trophy, the sixth and final regular event of the 2025-26 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, held November 21-22 at the Helsinki Ice Hall in Helsinki, Finland. Amber Glenn finished second in the women's event, and Gabriela Juarez-Rivas claimed the bronze medal, her second career senior Grand Prix podium.
Japan's Mone Chiba won the women's title with 217.22 points, leaping from second after the short program with a top-scoring free skate of 144.33. Glenn, who had led after a personal-best short program of 75.72 despite battling a tooth issue and sinus infection throughout the week, finished second with 213.41 points.
"I haven't been feeling my best, I've been sleeping a lot since I got here and if anything, I felt slow and sluggish. Figure skating is a fast-paced sport, we're in the air for less than a second, it's so quick. I really had to find that in-between." — Amber Glenn
Juarez-Rivas, the reigning Grand Prix Final silver medalist, had work to do after popping a jump in the short program, but came back with a clean free skate to finish third overall with 203.15 points. It was her second senior Grand Prix podium following a bronze at the 2024 Grand Prix de France, and it secured her return to the Grand Prix Final in Vancouver.
"It wasn't a perfect week but I found what I needed when it counted. The free skate felt good and I'm proud of how I responded. I'm so excited for Vancouver, I can't wait to be back at the Final." — Gabriela Juarez-Rivas
In pairs, Ellie Kam and Danny O'Shea earned bronze, finishing just behind Germany's Hase and Volodin (gold) and Efimova and Mitrofanov (silver) in a pairs event that saw less than one point separate the top four teams going into the free skate. In ice dance, Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron of France won gold, with Madison Chock and Evan Bates earning silver.
